LED LIGHT THERAPY. WHAT IS IT? AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

LED Light Therapy is the application of low-level light to the skin. Safe and effective for all skin types and suitable all year-round. It has numerous positive benefits to the skin. It can be selected as a stand-alone treatment but also be an “add on” to other skin services should you wish, eg after a 1 hour Dr Hauschka facial you can add on a 15, 20 or 30 minute LED therapy session,

LED light stimulates the skin’s biological responses, by absorbing the various wavelengths of light.

The main benefits are, It energises the skin cells, optimising their performance. As the light works at a cellular level, it is able to penetrate deep into the skin to bring about a variety of positive changes, therefore may be used to treat a variety of skin concerns.

For Age management Collagen and Elastin is stimulated, skin is rejuvenated and cell renewal accelerated, resulting in hydration, the smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles. LED improves the tone, texture and overall vitality of the skin leaving it bright, beautiful and glowing.

For Acne control, skin Bacteria on the skin is destroyed without irritation. The skin’s natural healing process is accelerated. Swelling or irritation is reduced, improving skin clarity and there is a reduction in post inflammatory pigmentation.
